I sometimes see stars while working out.

Hey everyone,

I would like to ask if you have any idea why I would be seeing stars while working out.

I have only noticed seeing stars if I am being VERY physicaly active(like doing 120 jumping jacks, then quickly 200 crunches, and then 40 or so pushups).
I sometimes see the stars while I am doing the pushups. I might be holding my breath while I do the pushups, so mabey that would contibute to seeing stars.

Then once I start to see stars while doing pushups, I continue to see them, and they get worse, till I stop doing exercises, and take a 3-5 second break, then they are gone.

I have also have seen stars while grappling.

Oh, I am 6 foot 5 inches, and only 150 pounds. Mabey that might factor into seeing stars as well.

I heard that sometimes people see stars before they get a migrane, but I dont get migranes. But mabey it is some kind of simular effect(like lack of oxygen to the brain or something).

Thank you.

Re: I sometimes see stars while working out.

May be due to fluctuations in blood pressure. Sounds similar to what happens when a person faints, usually caused my a sharp drop in blood pressure.
You may want to take it slower and keep well hydrated, and concentrate on your breathing. And hope you take no offense, but seem very underweight for your height.
May be worth taking the time to have a physical exam if it (the stars) continues.

I usualy feel light headed, and see "stars, or firefly moving around(more than 30 or so of these little "stars, or "fireflys")

Thanks again.
