What kind of exercise do you do? I was told not to do anything that required jumping so that stopped my rebounding. Also no bending over which took care of the yoga. Walking & running is out because of worn out knees. Not supposed to do heavy lifting which can also cause detachment.
Any suggestions? thanks.

Question--did you have surgery to repair the detached retina?
My husband--age 70, had his repaired last year and after about 8 mos. had cataract surgery on the same eye. He does all our yard work, bending etc.
Of course, he doesn't jog, or jump. ha
There were no restrictions though, placed on him. Not sure what your situation is.

I think the restrictions you mentioned are for the recovery period. I had a detached retina repaired and had those limitations in the beginning. I certainly wouldn't do any heavy lifting anyway, but jumping? You should check back with your doctor,.
I had a victrectomy and a scraping of the retina to remove scar tissue. I also had my retina reattached since the scar tissue had pulled it away. All this was due to diabetic retinopathy.
