Re: Pinguecula and contacts?

I wear a BCL for RCE & I have a ping, strangely enough it was annoying for a bout 3 months (lots of eyedrops) but now my eye seems to have adapted.

Thanks for replying!!!!

I don't know a thing about contacts, but I am going to the eye doctor next week to see if I can get some. I am afraid I won't be able to wear contacts due to the fact I have 2 Pings on the inner parts of my eyes. If you don't mind me asking, what is a BCL for RCE?? THanks again....

Re: Pinguecula and contacts?

Hi i've had pings for about 3 years on both of my eyes. It all depends on how big and where they are. Contact lenses are avalible in different fits. Its the diameter you need to look at. i was wearing ciba allday/allnight contact lenses when i first discovered my pings. they are 13.8 in diameter. the edge of the lense was resting exactaly on my ping which meant alot of discomfort. now i wear baulch & lomb daily disposable contact lenses which are bigger at 14.2 in diameter this means they cover the ping's and are very comfortable. I think it's just trial and error.
Hope this helps x

Re: Pinguecula and contacts?

I can't wear contacts. Mine actually grow larger and hurt. I have to wear contacts for istigmatizim though so that might be why my contacts are larger and rub on my sores.
