Hi:
I'm a woman so I don't have red/green colourblindness, but my grandfather did, and my cousin and my son. My son had a bit of trouble in school, nothing serious, but a teacher didn't believe that he couldn't tell the difference between red and green. Now the only trouble he has is telling traffic lights apart from street lights at night.
It's too bad you are colourblind but not the worst thing. I'm partly c.b. from a retinal problem. When I watch TV it's in black and white. Carrots and strawberries are a very unattractive colour as well, but you never knew their real colour, so I guess they look normal to you.
Anyway, all the best.
