I have a similiar problem with my right eye, but only after it has been closed (sleeping, or resting). When I awaken my eye is real watery and my cheek is wet. I called the Eye Dr. office and the Nurse said to try lubricating it with "artifcial tears". I said I had been, some,. She said, that the lubricants may have the same ingredients but do not all act the same try a better one than the generic ones I had been using. She said it may be something to do with the tear ducts. I guess it is more bothersome than a threat. I haven't gone to the Opthalmologist as I do not have insurance & the visist costs $90 ! It seems to be doing better I use some allergy meds. sometimes & it seems to get better, also use the lubricants to help flush the tear ducts.
I hope this is of some help to you. Keep us posted.
