Some of your questions I can't even remember the answers. I can't exactly remember how long it took to get used to them. It's been since 1983 I can remember that it took some time but not too long. Maybe a couple weeks or less.

The brand I wear now is Acuvue. I just got this brand about oh....3 months ago. I like them so far. Before these I had colored contacts that were a different brand but can't remember the brand. I didn't like them though. They fell out alot. I've had lots of different brands.

I never experience blurriness or lose focus. I seldom use drops. Every now and then they get dry, usually happens in the morning or when I'm in the wind/air conditioning.

Them being blurry may be a normal part of getting used to them. Sometimes when you move your eye fast in one direction, the lens can take a second to also move. This could cause momentary blurriness. If they're seeming to slip off your eye when you blink, this could also cause blurriness. The reasons for excessive slippage are ill fitting lenses or inside out lenses or just incompatibility with a specific brand. Look in the mirror real close and blink. Do the lenses stay centered on your eye or slip way up and slowly fall to cover your eye? They should stay relatively centered on your iris. When they do the slipping thing it gets annoying real fast.

Keep going back for your checks. The doctors and places I've went have always been good at making sure you have a correct fit and can see well. I've had to switch brands a couple times or go back a couple times to adjust the prescription. With these acuvue he had to reorder them at a lower prescription because they were too strong. I've switched brands because of fallout. Some brands seem a lot better than others at staying in your eye when you casually wipe your eye. That's annoying also. So far the acuvue have stayed in.
