I have had brain surgery a few years back cause of lack of oxygen to the brain. It caused tissue to be scared that had to be taken out on the left side.
It caused 45% lose of eye sight in the right eye and 10% in the left eye.
Also, I have noticed that I have double vision in my right eye as my right pupil is higher than my left. It was my doctor who explained it to me. Now I have to have a special prism on my lens. It helps, but I still have problems.
Things are very hard. The surgery has caused many problems, but my eyes get so tired and hurt. It is hard to read, watch t.v., etc. It was my doctor who suggested I should go on the message boards.
I think I said it right, it is just hard to do things anymore.
Anyone feel like writing, please.

I am sorry you are having such a tough time. I hope with time things will improve. I have 2 suggestions-listen to books on tape instead of watching TV or reading. This will allow you to rest your eyes and still be entertianed. They are available free at the library and there is usually a good selection on lots of topics including fiction. Secondly, you might try vision therapy-there is an optomotrist in Hillsborough who offers it. Good luck.

Thank you for your reply. Books on tape is a great idea. I got a few of them and it make it easier. I really appreciate you suggestion. It's great just to sit back and let someone else do the work.
