Near-sided....laser surgery? - Eye & Vision Message Board

im near-sided and i have 2.5 for both eyes and im 16 so should i consider laser surgery later on or is there anything better and cheaper any suggestions would help a lot thx!

As far as I know people younger than 20 should not get the laser surgery done, because the whole body is still growing. And this laser surgery is not in use for a very long time, so they don´t know, if you might get problems with your lasered eyes in 20 or 40 years.
But I think it is better, if you ask your eye doctor about it, he can probably tell you more about it.
If you wear glasses you can try out contact lenses, i wear them and i don´t even recognize during the day that I a short sighted.

hey thx for the advice but i cant wear contacts it bothers my eye like it bugs cant stand it...and ive talked 2 a doctor about laser surgery i 4got what he said it was like a year ago but he told me 2 wait until im over like 18 so i stop growin or at least slow down...thx a lot anyway i apreciate it...any more sugestions would be great...oh 4got 2 mention in my 1st msg that ive seen on tv sum comercial about sum excercise u can do to see better if any1 knows about it or has tried it can u plz reply and tell me if it works and everything...um i think it was called clear vision or sumthin like that...k thx!
