I don't have it, but I have heard of this problem. First of all, I hope they numb your eyes when they try to insert the needles into your tear ducts. I know that there are ways of opening clogged or closed tear ducts, but I am not exactly sure what they are. If they gave you medicine and it didn't work, then you have to go back. The reason you have to wipe your eyes so much is because your tears don't have any place to go but down your cheeks if your tear ducts are clogged/closed. I know about this because I occasionally have watery eyes too. My tear ducts are all closed. All 4 of them. But I WANT my tear ducts to be closed. My eyes are dry and I need to preserve my tears. If your punctum (the holes of the tear ducts) are closed then your tears won't drain out through the nasolacrimal ducts. Is this in both eyes or just one? How many ducts are closed?
