Itchy dry eye please help me never had this before! - Eye & Vision Message Board

I have a problem
I banged my head 2 days ago quite hard and have had a slight headache behind me left eye ever since. yesterday i took tylenol and had a little nap in the afternoon and when i woke up my left eye was feeling kinda dry, especially in the corner of it. Its pretty itchy too.I tried to ignore it but its still there now i just woke up and its still there.
Going to the doctor isnt an option since i cannot afford it right now ive been seeing so many doctors over another medical problem and im down over a 1000 dollars....any idea what might help me?

I know you don't want to hear this, but you need to see a doctor. Especially since this occurred after banging your head.

It could just happen to be allergies since you mention that it's itchy. I wouldn't just make that assumption, however.

I'm assuming you don't have insurance?

If you go to a city run hospital they have to see you. It sounds to me like it is just a coincidence that you banged your head and then your eye started itching. Is your vision affected? I would be more concerned about the pain behind the eye than the itchiness. You need to make sure you didn't injure yourself when you banged your head. For the eye itching, use a cold compress.

The itchyness and dryness is almost gone, i just have a slight headache still not as bad as before, guess it was a small concussion
