Subconjunctival hemorrhage: will the blood vessels burst of have they already? - Eye & Vision Message Board

I currently have a subconjunctival hemorrhage in my left eye, it's been 3 days now, and it's clearing very slowly but I see the progress.

But I noticed that in my right eye, there are 2 red zigzag lines... are they going to break? Are they blood vessels that already broke and haven't spread yet? Will they spread? I don't want to find myself with 2 red eyes. Is there anything I can do to prevent my other eye to have a subconjunctival hemorrhage?

The zig-zag (I assume you mean when you look at the white part of your eye, not a zig zag line in your vision) lines you are experiencing could mean another subconjunctival hemmorhage. If you do experience another hemmorhage it is very important that you see a physician and have your blood pressure check. Experiencing subconjunctival hemmorhages without any trauma to the eye can be a sign of hypertension.

Yes, I meant lines in the white part of the eye. My vision is unaltered. I think I got the hemorrhage from vomiting. I had nausea and tried to force myself to throw up.

So far, the lines have remained lines, I just hope they won't burst.
