Bump under Eyelid. Help

For about a month or two now, i have had a bump under my eyelid. Its not visible from the outside unless i lift the eyelid over. I can feel it from the outside if i touch the spot where it is. It doesnt irritate me in any way. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what it might be how to treat it and if anybody has any pictures of what they think it might be just for reassurance. please help me. im worried sick.

Since it`s been a "long time", it can be a chalazion. The eyedoctors mainly recommend using something hot on they eyelid (e.g hot water) (on the lump) to see if that helps. If it dont, and it just keeps getting bigger, then the only way to get rid of it is surgery (what i have done). But the surgery itself is painless and is better than a visit to the dentist

Re: Bump under Eyelid. Help

Sometimes this is just a plugged gland. Go see an eye doctor and if it is that he will just express it. (It's kind of like a pimple).

Re: Bump under Eyelid. Help

My daughter got a "bump on her upper lid" when we were on vacation - I thought it was a mosquito bite. Turns out it was a chalazion. We had it surgically removed but she continued to get them. After hundreds of hours or research and many doctors visits I found two things that helped. To get a chalazion to disappear soak a camomile tea bag in boiling water. Place the hot tea bag on a spoon and hold the spoon close to the eyelid that has the chalazion. Let the steam hit the affected eyelid. When the tea bag gets cool redip in the boiling water to heat it up again. Continue to apply the steam to the eyelid. Do this three times a day for 5 minutes a time. Within a week you will get a white pimple on the lump, it will them pop and begin to drain. Continue the steam treatments until it disappears - usually a few weeks. To keep them from appearing we started cleaning her eyelids everyday with a little baby shampoo on a cotton pad - gently wipe across the eyelid once and them rinse. Good luck!
