papillary edema

Was wondering if anyone has had it for one reason or another and if so how long it takes to go away once the problem taken care of. I had severe inflammation of my optic nerves from increased intracranial pressure from a bad medication reaction. My pressures have return to normal but I still have some residual swelling in my eyes per my eye doctor and i have been off the medication and and presumed normal pressure for a month now. Does it take a while for this to go away or should i be wondering about an increased pressure again?
