A few months ago I developed blurry vision rather suddenly. One day I could see as well as I had been able to see for the past 10 years, and then the next day things were noticeably worse. I've seen an opthamologist and an optometrist, and neither are sure what has caused this to happen. In their words I'm a "mystery." Now that I've had time to assess my situation I've noticed a few things since this happened:
My eyes have a sort of glazed over feeling, like the fluid in my eye is sticky.
Vision is best in the morning, and starts to get worse as afternoon comes.
I've had a couple of other issues crop up suddenly as well, which may or may not be related, including increased urinary frequency, erectile dysfunction problems, and mild abdominal pain.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any replies!
EDIT: BTW, if you were thinking it might be diabetes, that I think can be ruled out. I did a fasting blood glucose test and also had an A1c done and both came back well within the normal range (non-diabetic). I have also been MUCH more careful with my diet lately, so those numbers should be much less than when I had the tests performed back in January.
I don't know much about dry eye, but there are lengthy threads here about it. That is one possibiliity and could have been overlooked during your exams. There's a multi-page discussion here somewhere that might enlighten you.
Hi, thanks for your reply. I am not taking any medications, and was not at the time this happened either. I'm also 29 years old, I didn't mention that before. I was told by my optometrist that anxiety could cause this to happen, anyone else have an opinion on that? I have had an anxiety disorder for many years, but it has not gotten worse, if anything it has gotten better around the time this occurred, and since.
