I have trouble seeing things that are far away, so I went to the eye doctor today...And apparently my vision is 20/25 in one eye and 20/30 in the other, and I have a little astigmatism.
The doctor said that most people with vision like that don't get glasses, but he also noted that I obviously struggle with distance, and when he put a prescription on me, it definitely helped! So, I opted for getting glasses.
Did I make the right decision?
My mom thinks that I'm basically just making it up that I can't see distance really well and that I just want to have glasses. She's like "That's good, and I've never heard of anyone with vision like that getting glasses!"
If you can see better with glasses, you made the right decision. It would be more useful if you could tell us what your prescription is, eg. -.50 or -1.25, or whatever--in other words, how slight or moderate the correction is.
Yeah...They seem OK. The only thing is, I'm not liking the floating lens* with my right eye. It just doesn't like to focus through the middle of the lens. There's nothing wrong with the RX, just that...And I know because when I cover that up with my hand, it's perfect. Anything to say?
* The lens isn't connected to the frame at the far edges
Measurements are taken so that the focal point will be in the right spot. I don't see why it would matter whether the lens was attached to the frame on one side, as long as it's stationary. Why does it bother one eye and not the other?
