Eyes feel very sensitive to air and light

For some reason when I am outside or in an air conditioned room my eyes are very sensitive. I basically have to squint when I walk around and/or blink every two seconds. When I walk around outside my eyes feel like I havent blinked enough and they start to burn after about 2-3 seconds of having them open. I've tried using Soothe-XP and Systane but both have little to no effect. I went to an eye doctor about a year ago and he gave me a tear test (one of those things where he drops something in my eye and it measures how much tear I reproduce) and he said I was at a normal level. Is there anything else I can try?

When I was chronically using Opcon-A for years my eyes would feel like this after I used it as well.

Re: Eyes feel very sensitive to air and light

it does sound like you have dry eyes. Because of an autoimmune disease I have extremely dry eyes and have the same problems that you have. I have found that Refresh Celluvisc eye drops work the best. You have to use them 3 or 4 times a day.At night I use the GenTeal ointment. I also had plugs put in my tearducts ,but so far that doesn't seem to have helped much.
good luck, Kate
