Eye pain

My eyes always seem strained and I have pain in both eyes. My eyes feel realy hard too. I was diagnosed with elevated eye pressure- Ocular Hypertension, and have had this problem for 12 years now. Test have revealed that I have no signs of Glaucoma, thank god. It was also determined that my pressure measurementa will be off somewaht due to corneal thickness. Doctors have to subtract 2mmgh from each eye leaving me with an averge pressure of 22 for now. My doctors have also told me that the pain I feel has nothing to do with my elevated pressures and that I may be suffering from a sinus infection.

But how would I know that? Can anyone tell me what symptoms one would have?

I have dry eyes, when sleeping they dry up, what I use now is an eye mask. I use to put a eye gel in them when sleeping. They were always very painful, especially in the light. Before I found out what the problem was, I wore the darkest sun glasses I could find, even in a very lightened room. Check into this, your problem might have nothing to do with other eye problems. Now I have what is called a floater, first I started seeing dots when looking at something light or bright, now its seeing shadows when looking to the side, only in the right eye...This is something in middle age, seems everything that can happen due to aging, happens to me. Good luck.
