Two questions about contacts and red eyes

after i wear my contacts for a bit, my eyes get red. im sure that is common for prolong contact use but when i first started contacts, my eyes would not get red but now when i take out my contacts my eyes are a hue of pink (depending on the length of use) any fixes or ideas on what the problem is?

also, i noticed that after wearing contacts for awhile, i have one of those red 'thunderbolt-looking" things in my eye. Its usually at the bottom portion of my eye. It's very light and not dark nor severe. Sometimes when I put my contacts in, it feels like I have an eyelash under my contact but after a minute or so I do not feel any irritation. Any fixes?
