How often should i get an Eye Test?

I am a bit concerned about how often I should get my eyes tested, I already went this year and they said my eyes were fine, I still feel a bit of dryness and they hurt when I stare the computer for long hours . I have been doing some research and I found that that eye test should be done at least every two years or more frequently if recommended by your Optician. Please if someone can give me some advice I would appreciated.
Thanks
Ana
