Thinning of the retina symptoms?
I'm an 18 year old female.
I went to get some new glasses a few days ago and had to get an eye exam first. The ophthalmologist said that my retina was thinning, which doesn't make sense to me because I only had my eyes tested before that 5 months earlier and apart from being near-sighted, I had no 'eye conditions' as such.
Anyway, for the past few months I've been having issues with not being able to grab things. For example, I'll go to open the fridge and miss the handle, or I'll go to pick up my coffee cup and instead, accidently put my hand in the hot coffee. It didn't occur to me to mention this to the ophthalmologist but do you think I should? I'm not sure if it's related to retinal thinning or not, because it sort of sounds like I might just be a bit of a ditz! & I keep missing my mouth when I drink and yeah I know that sounds funny but it's not when it happens all the time. I also occassionally see weird things like white lines appear in my field of vision but then disappear as fast as they came.
Do you think I should go back and mention all this or wait until my next eye exam? I just don't know if it's urgent or not.
