I recently had a Punctual Occlusion procedure done in my right eye it produced too many tears so the eye surgeon reversed it ( I was told from the beginning that this procedure could be reversed with no problems) I still have too many tears in this eye and the Dr. says there is nothing else he can do my tear ducts are open and I just have to live with this. It is driving me crazy. Anyone else have a similar problem and any known fix??
I think they are regular tears and no triggers. The eye just tears whenever it feels like it. What is strange is that it is just like it was before he supposedly "reversed" this prodcedure which makes me think that my tear ducts are not not staying open and can anything be done now to make them stay open if that is the case?
At my office we do laser closure of the bottom punctum only and it shrinks the bottom duct down so that it forces the tesrs to stay on the eye longer. So far has worked very well. Ask your dr about that.
