Adie's Tonic Pupil caused by H1N1 vaccine?

I started noticing lately that my left pupil is larger than my right. I went back and looked at pictures of myself and it is apparent in lots of my pictures several months back. I went to my eye doctor today and he measured my pupils and examined them each closely. They dilate and constrict, which is good. He diagnosed me with Adie's Tonic pupil. I started doing a little research online and found that the condition is pretty rare but it usually occurs in women between the ages of 20 and 40 and can be caused by a virus. I was thinking, last year about this time I got the H1N1 vaccine. Do you think there's any way that the vaccine contributed to this?

Re: Adie's Tonic Pupil caused by H1N1 vaccine?

Hi

I've been having a similar problem, though I haven't seen an eye specialist yet. Both of my eyes seem to be effected, one minute my left pupil is bigger, then other times its my right pupil which is bigger, and sometimes they even look the same. I have a lot of neurological type symptoms throughout my body, not just eye problems, but i'm being investigated for Lymes disease, as I am lead to believe this can cause these type of symptoms in your eyes. However there could be a number of causes other than lymes, have you seen an neuro-opthamologist, they are usually the best specialist to see regarding such eye issues. Im awaiting an appointment for one at the moment.

Good luck & best wishes
