| Optic disc pit and vitrectomy op failure?
Hi,
My name is Scott and I am 30. I was diagnosed with Optic Disc Pit. ...I had a vitrectomy with gas bubble in August 2010. I had it under local anisthetic and had a gas bubble in my eye for 10 days. I was told to lay flat on my face for a week.
I knew only weeks after the op that it hadn't been a success but was told to hold out hope and wait a couple of months. I have done that and my {left} eye has filled up with fluid again leaving me with blurry vision in that eye.
I went to casualty to speak to someone and was told that the op hadn't worked. I had fluid in my eye still and my retina had detached. So I have to go see my surgeon next week. Has anyone else went through this? Has anyone else came out of it with 20/20 vision....
