Cool Uveitis/Iritis

Hello, I'm hoping that I can find some answers or suggestions from others who are suffering from this condition.

I developed this condition 1 1/2 yrs ago after a sinus surgery. I am sure that's what caused it but all of the doctors I have seen say, "NO".

I am so disgusted with the doctors, etc. I have been to a neurosurgeon, my regular eye doctor, and a retinol specialist. I have been on so many eyedrops that I can't even name them all. And the same with antibiotics.

Since April of 2010 I have not gotten any relief from this. It is with me always. I am starting to get really down about all of this. To go outside I have to wear three pair of sunglasses. And inside I have to keep it dark and I'm squinting all the time.

Is anyone else in the same situation I'm in? I will take any advice or help with much appreciation.

Thank You,

Re: Uveitis/Iritis

You have chronic inflammation in the eye with these conditions and just like having and "flare up" in your body that body part will hurt and ache. With this when you are not having an active flare up you need to be using alot of tears because the eye will be extremely dry and the preservatives in any drop may irritate the eye so go with preservative free tears. Also when using tears keep them in the fridge the cooling will make the eyes feel better. Hope this helps some.
