Throbbing pain behind left eye without redness or tearing, weird visual field test
I woke up on Tuesday morning with throbbing pain behind my left eye. I assumed it was due to the cold I'd just gotten over or lack of sleep. I took some advil and went about my day. Fast forward to now, and the pain is worse than when it first began. I also started seeing floaters in front of my eyes along with spotty vision, but only in the left eye. I wear glasses but my vision isn't that bad. It hurts to move my eye or blink and there's also pain when I touch the closed eye or the area underneath my eyebrow. No headache at the moment, even though I'm pretty used to getting constant migraines coupled with dizziness (on a related note, I get lightheaded all the time for no reason).
I saw an optometrist today who ran a bunch of tests and said everything looked normal. I didn't perform well on the visual field test, but she thinks that may due to the learning curve since it was only my first time taking it. In any case, she wants me to retake the test on Monday. I'm considering seeing an ophthalmologist because my eye is still hurting and I figure they're better suited to diagnose medical stuff than optometrists are.
I just took an online visual field test and while I did miss my normal blind spots as you're supposed to, I also missed two other spots, one in each eye. Just to be sure, I took the test three times. Here are my results: http://i.*****.com/CB8Kc.png
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
