| Secondary IOL Implant - Blurry Vision
I was born with congenital cataracts and had surgery in 1990 to remove them. Since then I've been wearing contacts lens and bifocal glasses over the contacts to have optimal sight. At night, I wear thick cataract glasses to see. I had a standard monofocal secondary IOL implant done in my right eye 12 days ago. Since then I've had very blurry vision and I'm seeing halos around lights. I've had no improvement since the day after surgery. To put it mildly my vision is not comparable to how my eye was with the contact in before the implant. I told my doctor about it in the weekly follow up and was told to wait it out. That it needs more time to heal. I have another follow up in 2 weeks. I am worried that my vision will not improve and stay this blurry. From what I've read online people recover very quickly from cataract surgery and see very well. Does anyone think there is cause for concern? Has anyone ever had blurry vision after this surgery that has went away after 3 weeks? any advice would be helpful thanks. I am taking anti inflammatory drops 12 times a day and an antibiotic 4 times a day. Also I took steriods a week after surgery. any advice would be most appreciated. Thanks
