Re: Sudden cloudy vision in Left eye
Apologies for the long delay in replying. I lost track of where I posted but found an auto-generated response in an old spam folder which lead me back here.
Many thanks to you both for your swift replies. It was a case of detached retina in several places, which was treated the same day following my 2:00 appt. on 6/12 with an opthamologist, Dr. Yeh. One emergency call from him and I was set up with The Washington Retina Group. My retina surgeon, Dr. Desai, proved to be the man in this case for the job. I arrived around 3:30 to a still very full waiting room and left around 7:30 as we literally closed the shop following my emergency laser surgery.
Dr Desai was extremely professional and despite the late hour, after what was obviously a long day, was in no hurry to finish the job. I would say anal was more descriptive of his attention to detail and my left eye would second that. But I was deeply appreciative and that kind of careful attention made the soreness of my eyeball and socket more easy to handle. I had no idea the eyeball could be that manipulated without lingering damage.
On a personal note, I have had more than my fair share of very good luck with doctors when I've needed them and this case was certainly no exception. Excellent examinations and treatment by all parties involved, especially the surgeon, and my left eye is now healed. My progress since surgery is such that I will be going back for my second 1 month visit in a few days and from then on probably every 6 months or so.
Thanks for showing interest and taking the time to reply to my query.
