 Too many eye infections in the same eye?
So, right now I'm dealing with an eye infection plus a stye, which I have never gotten before.
However, for the past 4 or 5 years, I get an eye infection in the same (right) eye. I actually get them a couple times a year. Over a two year period, I got the same infection in the same eye, exactly a year to the day of the last one. I have been sent home by three different jobs because of this.
A couple of years ago I was getting an eye exam for new contacts (which I no longer use.) The doctor said he saw some things in this eye he didn't like, but didn't elaborate.
My question is, my Aunt says that if you get too many eye infections it may mean there is something more serious going on. What could that be?
