I am posting for my husband who was diagnosed a few years ago with glaucoma. His field of vision tests show some peripheral visual damage. His pressure last week was 20 in rt. eye and 25 in left eye. His left is the one scheduled for surgery in 3 days. My question is this: Since cataract surgery usually causes some increase in pressure, shouldn't he have a lower pressure to start out with?
I really appreciate any advice here. He has just recently changed meds to Azopt and our surgeon was not even going to check his pressure preop until I sort of insisted on it.
What do you think, folks? Thanks ahead for any advice!
