Sorry to hear you are having to position after a vitrectomy, it’s not fun, hang in there, you can do it.
I had a vitrectomy with C3F8 last year. I had to posture in 2 positions, on my left side and bolt upright. The position depends on where the tear or hole is. I believe C3F8 is used for cases where the retina needs support for a bit longer, I’ve not heard of this gas reducing the need to position, but I’m afraid I’m not sure; I did have to posture.
