What are symptoms of weak eye muscles?
I have not been officially dx'ed with MS but have had symptoms since Aug. After seeing a local neuro who could not help me, I was advised to see a specialist which will take place at the end of Feb. In the meantime, I went to my opthomologist for pain and "blurriness" in my eyes and explained to her about my neruo problems. The dr. could not find any sign of optic neuritis (which was gone in about 2-3 weeks), I had a field vision test which was good and my eyes looked healthy internally. (I do not have dry eyes or cataracts that are of any consequence yet and tested neg. for Sjogrens) She suggested that maybe the muscles in my eyes were weakened somehow. My question is: if anyone has been dx'ed of symptoms of weak eye muscles, what does it feel like? I have been trying to describe it, but it is so strange it's hard to do. I feel like I have water in my eyes around the peripheral area but I can see fine. Sometimes they feel tired but resting them doesn't do any good. I can wake up in the a.m. and have it. Very occasionally, they feel almost normal. So, are weak eye muscles just another symptom of MS and if so, what does it feel like so I can better describe it to my specialist next month. Thanks for any help.
