Hello all,
I have a son that has Meniere's disease and has had some weird eye issues.
He has been to two ophthamologists and they both say his eyes look great.
What is happening is that he can pull this liquidy substance (almost looks like clear mucuous) from his eyes many times a day and his eyes are producing a musky smell when he does it.
He is also in quite a bit of pain with his eyes.
Is it possible that producing too much oil from the glands around the eye could be causing this and the pain?
I am at a loss of what to do and the physicians around here are no help.
Thanks,
KW
I will also add that he has been doing warm compresses for several months (3-4 times a day) and this doesn't help. Also he has done the erythromyacin (sp?) and that did not help. He tried the eye drops for dry eyes and cleaning solutions and that did not help.
