Astigmatism doing flip flops

In 1998 I had astigmatism of -75 in left eye, axis 82.
In 2009, it changed to +125, axis 165.
In 2012, its reported back to -75, axis 84.

The sphere over this same period ranged from -.25 to -1.75, and now "PLANO"
I have been considering Lasik, but don't want to until I find out why I can't get a consistent exam.
On person suggested that because my eyes fatigue easily, my vision is screwed up from all the forms you have to fill out just before the eye exam.
It is true that this does make my vision blurry, but would it affect the exam results? even if it did, it shouldn't affect astig?
Anyone have this problem?

Re: Astigmatism doing flip flops

One explanation could be this:
Optometrists and opthamologists write their prescriptions differently. Optometrists write theirs is a -cylinder form whereas opthamologists write theirs in a + cylinder form. There is a formula to convert it into either one and when you do you always change the axis by 90. Really depending on exactly what your sphere power was it doesn't look like it has changed very much.
