Hi! The three months thing is a wonderful protocol. It does not mean she has cancer or is going to get cancer. It's kind of like when a woman has an abnormal pap smear. She goes every 3 months till its returned normal. Like myself, I am a cancer patient, and I go every 3 months to the doc. I know it would be nice to go once a year, but doctors do the every 3 month thing to stay on top of the game. If something does happen to look different in 3 months, they can work on the problem EARLY, rather than in a year, when it may just be too late, and could possibly turn cancerous. I know its easier to say not to worry than to do it. But, I really think its all precautionary measures. Think Positive! The docs did tell your mother it didn't look malignant.
