Need info - sec. liver cancer (prostate)

My husband has multiple cancerous lesions in his liver stemming (according to the preliminary pathology report) from an earlier prostate cancer. Can anyone tell me what to expect, as well as anything about the best treatments and how effective they are?

Many thanks: we feel really in the dark here and haven't been able to talk to anyone yet to get any specific information.
