my grandad was diagnosed with termanil lung cancer in oct 2010 which is now in his kidney,hes 72 and always been a very proud man 'old school' head of the family.
I feel hes not telling us everything in the last few weeks hes been very unwell and is now on his 3rd course of antibiotics and steroids, hes also on morphine. he is very gray incolour seems to be still in pain his brething isnt good and hes also stopped eating and drinking he has stopped washing as he hasnt got the energy to do so and is in pjs all day long which is not him.
I know he will be admitted to hospital very soon (b4 monday) is it near the end for him??

Sounds like it could be,as the dying process progresses,they start to lose bodily functions,they stop eating and drinking,and the organs start too shutdown.The only thing u can do is make them as comfortable as possible,and talk to them in a soothing tone,even tho they may not seem aware of their surrounding,they sometimes can hear sounds.
