Hi Katt,
I am so sorry to hear about your Dad and his cancer. I hope you have an opportunity to spend some good time with him. In your post you didn't mention how he is feeling now. I am a retired Hospice nurse and can only speak from experiences I've shared with families. Hopefully you can be with him now, while he is feeling fairly well. There is a book titled, 'Final Gifts' that may be helpful. Written by two Hospice Nurses. I am holding you in thought and prayer. Gentle Hugs to you and your Dad.
Re: My dad just got diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer...
My mom was diagnosed with PC September 2011, received treble bypass to assist with drainage and the dr told me because of her good spirit, she has maybe one year left. She got chemo and was much better, but got infection in June and was in hospital. She then decided to stop with the chemo, got better again, but now it seems to go down hill. Was in hospital last week for heart failure, is back at home now, but still very weak and eats the minimum.
It is heart-breaking to see her like that!
