Harrette Newbie (female) Join Date: Oct 2012 Location: Victoria Australia Posts: 1	Jaw/Oral cancer Can anyone tell me if jaw cancer is the same as oral cancer? My son has just been told he has stage 4 cancer(jaw) but seems it has gone into the bone and lymth nods. Don't want this to sound bad but I'm a worried mum and having lost my husband 12 yrs ago ( not from cancer ) can anyone tell me what the surival rate is. My son doesn't want to worry me so I'm only hearing half the story but not knowing is worse. Please can someone give me some answers. He is having his op on Nov2. I believe it will be a 10 hour op. Thanks in advance Worried Mum
