depressed daughter?

After being on Zoloft 50 mg. for a little over a year, new doctor (we recently moved) is taking 16 yr. old daughter off meds. Can angry outbursts and depression, and mood swings be a part of withdrawal? She has doing 50 mg. every other day and is now down to 50 mgs. every 3 days. This just doesn't seem right. Does anyone know anything about this. Confused mom here just wants to help the right way.

Re: depressed daughter?

angry outburst and mood swings are part of depression but also could be a sign of withdrawl. Why is the doctor taking her off the meds. I would be considering a second opinion

take care
