I am wondering how many of you have sleep apnea? After recently being diagnosed with it I am on a breathing machine at night. (I had no clue I had it) It is making a difference with my pain. I do believe it is helping. (Wish it was a cure! )
I do understand that fibro patients have trouble sleeping. I also know that our bodies heal themselves in the deep sleep stage. It is a vicious cycle. The pain keeps me from sleeping. The insomnia prevents my body from healing itself so the pain just gets worse, so I can't sleep so my body can.t...
Any input here? Thanks,

Hello Gentle Granny!
I was told I have a sleep disorder similar to sleep apnea, but the total stopping of breathing doesn't occur. I wake myself up snoring (yes, apparently there are enough people that do this to have it recognized as a sleep disorder!)
I was supposed to be put on a CPAP but it got pushed to the side with my other issues (lung clots, edema, newly dx'ed fibro).
I think I will ask for that CPAP machine. Last night the pain was so bad I could not sleep. I'm staying up right now because I know to try to sleep would be useless. I guess I'll have to start being better to myself about getting enough sleep, but it's hard.
Anyway, welcome! (I'm new here myself so I feel funny saying that!)
