Involuntary Muscle Spasms - Fibromyalgia Message Board

Has anyone experienced involuntary muscle spasms with fibro? I can't remember having this symptom in the past, but then I can't always remember what happened ten minutes ago so maybe I did. Anyway, lately I've been very shakey and am having these spasms all the time. Some are in my arms, some are in my legs, many are in my abdomen area. They are not charlie horses or muscle cramps, they really strong twitches. I'm just wondering if this is yet another symptom or is this something new that I should consult my doctor about. Also, I am having a lot of pain in my left breast. I have experienced "chest wall" pain in the past, at one time I really thought I was having a heart attack. I don't think this is heart related, it is actually high in the breast/chest area. Please let me know if you've had these symptoms.

I have been silently cruising this board for a while now. Something is going on with me but the 3 times I've been to a Dr. about it, kind of just gets brushed aside. Background: a little less than a year ago my family and I moved. Only 20 miles from the town we did live in but still an adjustment. So last summer I started noticing things: intolerance to exercise, used to be able to push mow the lawn (about 1 hours worth) but it was becoming a major pain literally, and back pain for days on end. I started suspecting thyroid but 2 tests have come back normal. Then this past Jan. my mother was diagnosed with stage IV cancer. Things really started kicking in gear then. Felt like an ever tightning belt was around my upper body, muscle burning, anxiety, chest pain. Got prescribed an anti-depressant. Still left with back pain, and I have a pain in upper left chest area also that doesn't go away. Even had a ***** done. Sometimes I think it is referred pain from back. Another strange thing, my face is so puffy and bloated in the morning. It kind of goes down as the day progresses. Anyone else have this type of symptom. I have not been diagnosed with Fibro but feel I have alot of symptoms. Sorry about the long post.

Thanks, Wittesea for your input, I always appreciate your comments. I won't say I'm glad to hear that you have twitches too, but at least now I know I'm not alone.

As for the chest wall pain, when you mentioned pluresy, that makes sense, and I hadn't even thought about it. I've had a really bad cold/cough all winter, it very well could be why I'm noticing more pain right now. And of course I do have anxiety attacks too, this morning I thought I would go through the roof, for no apparent reason, I was hyper-ventilating and everything, gotta love this disease!
