Thumbs up Good News for A Change

Hi Everybody and TGIF! I just thought I'd say hello, wish everyone a nice weekend and say that I FEEL GOOD TODAY! Last night we had a storm come through so I seized up, got a migraine and had the worst attack of TMJ I've had in a long time. Couldn't chew any food. (Not such a bad thing normally but I'm pregnant, gotta eat.) I lost twenty pounds with a month of TMJ once.

I spent the evening massaging my face and resting in bed. I woke up this morning feeling GREAT. It's so nice when that actually works. The weather has cleared up and I actually feel perky. Now I just have to make sure I don't go gung ho and knock myself down again.

I love everyone's sense of humor here on these boards and it's so nice to know after all these years that others experience the same things I do.

I hope some of you are feeling better today as well. And if you're not I hope you can rest peacefully and not beat yourself up about it.

If you are needing to rest, do it outside for awhile if you can. That always makes me feel better. I try to tell myself I'm really on "vacation" and living the good life like the idle rich.

Re: Good News for A Change

This should be a red letter holiday on our calendar as I also am having a good day. I went to post office early this morn and a nice man held door open for me on my way out and when he went in door he tripped over the rubber mat and it all rolled up. He was so embarrassed. I did everything in my power not to giggle and I just repeated "Oops" as he had done. (TT)

What a great idea! It's beautiful and sunny here and the birds and squirrels are "flitting" around. I think I'll get a nice chair and go outside under one of the trees and crochet.

I feel better today. It's the first day I've felt somewhat normal today.

Wouldn't it be wild to find out that there really is some sort of pattern to what makes us feel bad. I'm so glad we're all having a great day! May it last through the weekend.

I went to the grocery store with my son. A big deal because I have to heft him up into the cart. Heck just pushing the cart is work for me. Then we came home and made a pizza together. It was nice to feel "normal".

Re: Good News for A Change

Today I woke up feeling better. Then I tried to vaccum. We only have carpet in our small living room so I didn't think it would be a big deal. WOW! Was I wrong or what?! I was so tired and weak afterwards, I had to lay down and take a nap. I still feel weak and shaky, however, the muscle soreness is not as bad.

TT- I've been taking your advice and using flexiril at night. I had a RX from last year. But, I am using so much medication just to even sleep at night. I am using Ambien, xanax, and flexiril(I usually take the Flexiril about 6 or 7 so as to not OD). Maybe the flexiril is what is making the difference in the pain and soreness.

Re: Good News for A Change

Hi all! You do get used to the flexaril. I too have been on xanax, ambien and flexaril all at once so don't let that scare you. Vacumming knocks me out and we even have a self driven model. My husband has to do that job. Thank God I have him.

I hope you're feeling better and managed to enjoy the weekend.
