Talking Tuesday is my first Rheumy appt

Yippee!! I think I found a Dr that specializes in fibro. He is part of 9 other Dr's that work with fibro patients. My grandma also has fibro and the main Dr dx her in the 70's with fibro before anyone believed it was a disease. The Dr I am going to works with him. I just hope and pray that he will listen and help me work towards a good treatment plan.

Just knowing that I have an appointment next Tuesday is encouraging for me and it has lifted my spirits. Since all of this pain and fatigue started, I have been really depressed. I am so completely frustrated and I hope this Dr will help!!!

Today I am feeling a better. Just a few aches and muscle fatigue. But, its better than usual.

Re: Tuesday is my first Rheumy appt

I am so happy for you. I told my rheumatologist's nurse that seeing rheumatologist was like trying to see God as it takes so long to see her. I have great hopes that you will finally get good treatment. We will all have our fingers crossed for good outcome. (TT)

Question Re: Tuesday is my first Rheumy appt

Hi ya'll! Can you tell I'm from Texas?

This is all new to me. What kinds a questions should I definitely ask? It seems you all have had a lot of experience with this and maybe with your combined experience, I can get what I need out of the visit. Also, what should I share? I have been keeping a diary of pain, food, medications, and vitamins. I will definitely share that for sure. But, what else?

Awaiting for adivce,
Molly

Re: Tuesday is my first Rheumy appt

I wish you luck...my GP who has been treating me for a year and a half is sending me to a rheumy on the 22nd....I don't feel particularly optimistic about what he will suggest I do..but I am trying to go see him with an open mind. Sure would be nice if he could tell me something positive!LOL but not holding my breath! I will lookforward to seeing how your appt. goes and what your doc reccomends.
