Re: Burning Pain

I first noticed the burning pain in my feet also. It felt like bone pain to me though. The same pain moved to all different parts of my body.

Re: Burning Pain

Another with burning pain, I get it often down my right leg, from hip to foot and my foot goes numb, also the upper chest around the collar bone cannot stand clothing on.I get so many sore spots in my chest with this for days after. I get the burning other areas also but these are main two, feels like I am brushed burned. You are not alone. I think it is part of the Fm along with the shooting stabbing pains.

Re: Burning Pain

Linda -
are you sure you don't have a pinched nerve in your hip or lower back with the foot numbness you've been having? I didn't think FM caused numbness.

I get burning pains in various place and my skin so sore it hurts to touch it but not numbness.

Re: Burning Pain

Hi, I am seeing a chiro who is doing myofascal release and he said my muscles were so spasmed in my lower back that the nerve was involved and you are right pinching the nerve. He seems to think that the burning we fmers get is from from nerve involment and I tend to agree. My low back is much better but he is still finding trigger points.

Are we having fun?

I totally agree and I too have numbness as well. The burning pain is awful. Sometimes I feel like I'm being burned alive. All I've found that works is to be naked. Sometimes cool water helps, like a tepid bath or shower but I have to be careful it's not too col dor I'll cramp up. Hydroxizine helps this somewhat as well but it makes me sleepy.

There are lots of us on here with numbness in hands and feet and it is listed at the ARA website as a symptom.

Hope you find something that makes you feel better.
