Flu with Fibro

Does every one flare severely when you get sick with a cold or flu? I have a nasty respitory virus and I feel like evey joint is severely inflamed not to mention the sudden nerve pains. A low grade fever makes me feel like dying.

Crud!

Re: Flu with Fibro

I find it's the same way with me. I just got off of Zithromax from a nasty sinus infection and I felt awful all over---more than usual. All I could do it rest and wait it out.

I'll flare just to flare, with no apparent reason. At least with an infection I know what I'm dealing with. So--I double up on rest and take the meds.

Funny thing, though (not really, but...) I fell on the ice at 5:30am on 1/22 when walking my dog. I ended up with crutches and a brace with a dislocated knee. I literally couldn't walk, but the time out for me--about two weeks were terrific---I got a long, long rest and my body seemed to start healing.

I'm a great believer in letting the body rest and heal.

I hope you get over the infection soon. Rest, rest, rest.
