Does anyone know if there is a fibro diet?

I too am having trouble with my weight. I have had all my life but now it is more challenging. Is there a fibro diet? Are there foods that a person with fibro should definitely not eat? I would love to get this weight off. Please help me and others. Thanks a million. Jackie

Re: Does anyone know if there is a fibro diet?

Hi Jackie,

There are some books out there that are cookbooks and diet books specifically for fibro. Just search or something like that. I do not have my poop together enough to use it but I think it can be helpful.

Mostly they just say the usual stuff which is avoid sugar, ***** bread, starches and processed food. The more veggies, fruit, whole grains and lean protein you eat the better.

Maybe you'll find one you like. - Andy

Re: Does anyone know if there is a fibro diet?

Hello, Jackie. What I've read and been told by Drs., is to stay away from all of those foods that can cause yeast infections. Don't know if you have a problem with yeast, but it has been a serious problem since the beginning of my fibro.

Includeing the list that Andy mentioned above, I was told to stay away from chocolate, nuts, mushrooms, peas, definitely starches and sugars. Pretty much anything that would have yeast in it, bread, beer, etc.. This is another verrrry looonng list!!!

Hope this is a help to get you started in the right direction.
May you always have love to share and family & friends who truly care. I care!
