Look under the P's on this Health Board and go to Post Polio Syndrome. I never knew it existed until tonight and I had mild Polio as a child. Well, you can read my post on there. Maybe this can answer some questions for some of you too.

Please go visit the Post-Polio Syndrome Site. I have connected the dots and come up with this. Especially since I have had Polio as a child in the 50s. I really need some feed back from this and no one is at the site anymore. so Please go to the site, read up what others have said, and what I have said. Especially if any of you have had any doings with mild polio, Extreem fever asa child..even one episode around the early 50s can mean Polio. Please check this out because I do believe I have this along with Fibro, Degenerative Disc Disease, and Arthritis...those are documented illnesses that I have. Now I have to go to my MD and try and feel him out to see if he even believes in PPS. I am so scared. I get worse on a daily basis and have no one to talk to on the PPS site. Why did they all leave? Anyway please go there and check out the symptoms people talk about and leave me a message about what you think. You all mean a lot to me and I trust your judgements, I am not asking for a diagnosis, merely to ask if it makes sense that I had Polio as a Child, that I would have this??

HI Kovena,

I did go read a bit. Seems like before you showed up it was a personal chat room for two people. I would definitely go to your doctor and ask about this. I think a lot of us are too young to have had polio. So maybe that's why nobody's travelled yet.

But I would go get it checked out because maybe there is more they can do to help you.

My grandmother had polio as a child and later had epilepsy, lupus and fibro. She might've had the other problem and they didn'tknow.

I hope you get some answers soon from the doctor or someone who is PPS.

Good luck and keep checking in when you're up to it and let usknow how you are doing.

Yes I did see it. I do not think I have MS. But who the heck knows anymore. I am so confused that I have promised myself to stop self-diagnosing for a while! It is driving me nuts! But the PPS really sounds like the real thing. Unfortunately, like Fibro, most MDs do not believe in it, or have never heard of it. The nearest place to go is over 200 miles away where there are MDS that know about it UGH! well, I will take a break for now anyway. I am in so much pain lately that it is a miracle I even force myself to get out of bed for a bit every day. I have to or I will not be able to walk. God I hurt. As if the MS Contin is hardly doing anything, but I know if I say anything about it my MD will get mad like he did last time. Better to have some releif than none at all! Glad to see you all and Andy...WOOHOO! Gonna have blessed event soon!How exciting! My Heart is with all of you. If I dont come on often and post, its not because I do not want to!
