 Went through Mayo Clinic's Fibro program any ?'s

I just got back from 3 weeks at Mayo Clinic. I went up there as I got a virus in November that ended up going to my joints and muscles. I am 31 and did not understand what was going on in my body. As a mom, I wanted to make sure I did not have cancer or anything like that. Well I have been diagnosed with Fibro and Arthritis. They have a special center for Fibro patients. It has a clinic with lots of understanding people. I was in the clinic with people with different levels of Fibro. Atleast half of the group was on disability and could not really function. I function o.k., however I only have about 25% of my previous energy.
The clinic teaches you how to live your life to the fullest with your symptoms. They have Rhuemy's, nurses, Occupational Therapists, and Physical therapists. I learned a lot about this awful disorder that effects so many of us. They also have a 3 week Pain clinic for more severe cases. They believe that we should all live in moderation. When we have a good day, don't over do it. They said exercise makes a huge difference.(even if you have to start with a 2 minute walk....that is o.k.) I thought the whole thing was well worth my time. I would recommend it to anyone. If you have any questions, I would be more than happy to help.
