Re: tired of feeling bad

Hello,

Yes, I have had or have most of those symptoms. I know what that fatigue is like, and I, too, get very tired of the parade of discomforts we all have here.
Glad you are posting, and welcome. I've found a lot of help and just wonderful folks on this board.
And are you seeing a medical professional to help you?

Peace. Seaturtle

Re: tired of feeling bad

Yes, I am now, feel like i'm wasting his time or he makes me feel that way. I have been suffering for about 7 years off and on with these symptoms and more i just didn't put them all on my first post. I have never gotten down this bad i have not been able to work for the last three months because of the fatigue. but the unbearable fatigue is gone now. Never know when it will be back lol. usually about twice a year it hits me sometimes once and its like nothing is even wrong with me after the "episode" is gone (weird).I have another appt. the first of aug.

Re: tired of feeling bad

Welcome Jaz! Most all the symptoms you talk about I have and sometimes still have. The overwhelming fatigue is the worst to me, I can take something for pain or use ice or heat but the fatigue Oh MY! There are a lot of people on this board that can help with some great ideas. Keep searching for a doctor that will listen and treat you and your symptoms legitimately.

Re: tired of feeling bad

Hey i know how you feel, I am new also and I go to see a specialist tomorrow, waiting to see what he can do for me and if he even agrees with my dr. I feel like crap most of the time, I am afraid to do very much now because I can not stand to get in the pain I was in, I have rested for the last three weeks and have not worked because I just could not. I still have pain and at times it is unbearable, I am taking muscle relaxers, 800mg of motrin and cymbalta, buspar, and klonopin, which I feels these are helping some, I do not like taking the motrin I afraid it is going to cause me more problems, I take it three times a day. Tired that is my name. I went to a sporting event last night was gone four hours and I came home in tears I was hurting so bad. I only hope I get some answers tomorrow and some tx, and I hope you can find some answers, but trust me I know what you are feeling and I do have empathy for you. Stay in touch. Best wishes.

Re: tired of feeling bad

I have the same thing. One doctor says I have Fibro the other says I don't. Both are trated as the best doctors in my city. The only thing taht has given me relief is Tramadol. Problem is I am getting to the point where it doesn'rt do the job as well because my body is getting used to this drug after taking it for two year. Tramadol takes away the vibrating feeling and has some mood elevating properties.

Question Re: tired of feeling bad

Thanks for all your replys, I was wondering if you also have pain in the bottom of your feet like the bones are coming thru and your legs feel numb and heavy. My body feels really heavy like it has turned to concrete, the heat just kills me and i have also been having tingling in the tips of my fingers and have had some twitching.

Re: tired of feeling bad

welcome jaz, welcome!
when you are in this space of fatigue and pain take your imagination away to a place you find peace. in time the cycle will pass and you will feel good again.
i know you will find gentle support here. all that you describe most of us live with every day too. our compassion comes from knowing first hand what you are living with. this journey is not always easy. it is rewarding in many ways. each day we discover our power to be within our bodies and find joy as we are.
you are not wasting the doctors time. the doctor is wasting your time. do some doctors shopping and find yourself a new doc. ask the receptionist if the doctor treats anyone with fibromyalgia. i see my doc today. it took shopping around for 10 years to find her. she is a peach. there are excellent doctors out there. find one. the stress relief is amazing when you have the right doctor assisiting you in your health.
i am sorry you hurt. i am sending you healing energy.
peace,
bluelakelady

Re: tired of feeling bad

Welcome Ja,

I know the fatigue you are talking about. When it hits me and I am laying down I feel as if my body will never be able to move again. I have to tell someone to stay near in case I cannot get up. Once I am able to sleep with this fatigue, even for 1/2 hour I feel better.

I too was sick for years until I found the right doctor. Then it was what to do to help. He did every test under the sun and then one day I came upon an article that mentioned Adult Human Growth Hormone Deficiency. I was tested and sure enough I had no growth hormone in my system. We have more of it when we are young and as an adult it evens out. I started on human growth hormone shots and my energy level started going back up as well as the amount in my system.

The shots are very expensive and now we have located after four years an insurance company that pays for them. It is the only thing that gives me energy. It might be something you can have a doc test you for. Just a blood test.

Don't let any doctor let you feel like you are less than or that it is in your head. He/she is working for you, always remember yet. There have been many doctors that I have fired.

You will find a lot of support here and hopefully answers to your questions.

Peace and love, Janet

Re: tired of feeling bad

Well i just returned from another doctors visit. My pain seems to be a bit under control for right now, but the fatigue is killing me. I also just lay on the sofa when it hits me, and dont move at ALL. not even a finger.

All i can do is lay and breathe. I dont even try to think, like i dont have energy for that either. So i let me thoughts come and just let them slide right on by. Its like me telling them i have the do not disturb sign out for right now.

I had had my thyroid blood work run and came back normal. I did research on here and asked her if there were other tests that could check the thryoid as well besides the normal blood work one. She said there were. She then checked my throat asked me to swallow a few times and was surprised to find out that it seems swollen or enlarged, enlarged was the word she used.

SHe said she hadnt thought of checking . ? ? ? anyway, she is setting me up to have a sonogram done on my thyroid since i have alot of symptoms and my sis is on meds for it as well. Im hoping if i get meds for t hat, it will help with the fatigue at least the deep sinking fatique where all you can actually do is lay and breathe, nothing else.
Jen
