Exclamation Stats on SSD from gov

As promised here are some SSD stats from our government--newest year being 2003. This is a government site with great charts! I hope this link is accepted to be displayed.

http://www.ssa.gov/policy/docs/statcomps/di_asr/2003/charts.html

It seems SSD for mental illness is in the lead. The age groups are very interesting also.

Re: Stats on SSD from gov

hi september,
thank you. i went there and had a look around. most interesting in a heartbreaking way.
i found my origional papers while searching for stuff the mortgage broker needed. it said that while they felt i could work with fibromyalgia and cts they felt i was emotionally unable to sustain the normal stress of working. due to that they granted my request for social security. i gave that a good thinking over. while i spent years in therapy to find my way back from the emotional abyss i still am unhinged by any form of stress. it comes out as incredible body pain. i fracture and cannot think. multi tasking is not an ability, it is a gift. one i no longer have within.
thru the past years of coming to a peaceful place in my health i came to understand that just because i could no longer work did not mean i was suddenly useless or a drag on society.
again i thank you for your efforts. you are a peach!
peace,
bluelakelady
